Encore boasts of a highly competent management team which has more than 140 man-years of combined experience in the management of R&D projects, and the development of Embedded Systems and Digital Signal Processing technologies.

Vinay L Deshpande

Vinay is an MSEE from Stanford University, USA with over 35 years of experience in hardware / firmware development, and in R&D Management. He has also been responsible for the development of a vast range of electronics/IT products during his long IT career. Amongst the most respected personalities in the Indian IT industry, he has numerous associations, with the Government (including the Prime Minister's Information Technology Task Force), and within private industry, in India and overseas, and is an Adviser to Draper International, a venture-capital firm.

Along with his colleagues Shashank and Mark, Vinay is one of the co-developers of the Simputer, a low-cost, mobile computing device designed to help bridge the Digital Divide. He is also a Founder-Trustee and Managing Trustee of the Simputer Trust, a not-for-profit entity. To recognize this achievement of developing the Simputer, the seven founder-members of the Simputer Trust were jointly awarded the First Dewang Mehta Award for Innovation in Information Technology, instituted by the Government of India, in August 2002.

Chhanda Deshpande

Mrs. Chhanda Deshpande is a Post-Graduate in Economics from Nagpur University, and is in charge of the Administration at Encore Software Limited. She has 33 years experience in this field.

Mark R Mathias

Mark is armed with a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. He did his BTech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Mark has managed and supervised several projects involving the design of computer Hardware, ASICs, and R&D Management. Mark has over 28 years of experience in his line of expertise and is currently the President of Encore.

Shashank Garg

Shashank has done his BE and ME from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He takes the lead design role for the software architecture and software tools in the development of embedded products. He has also managed the development work for many of Encore's products, most recently the Mobilis and SofComp products. He has over 29 years of experience in R&D Management, Systems Software, and Product Development. He is currently Vice President for Advanced Projects at Encore.

Shashank has recently returned after spending a year at Stanford University on a sabbatical where he was a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow for the Year 2006-07 in the Digital Vision Program at Stanford University. This program is designed to encourage Social Entrepreneurship through Information Technology. During the sabbatical at Stanford he worked on "A Mobile Integrated Disease Surveillance System". He is interested in using Encore's Mobilis and Simputer Platforms for Disease Surveillance and in other Public Health applications.

Vasuki M P

Vasuki is a B.Tech from Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC). He has almost 19 years of experience in Networking software, System software and in the past has worked in prestigious organisations like Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He has been with Encore since 15 years and heads the technology development team at Encore responsible for all Digital Signal Processing and Voice-over-IP technologies.
