Encore CEO among 'tech pioneers'
BANGALORE: Mr Vinay L. Deshpande, Chairman and CEO, Encore Software
Ltd., has been selected by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as one of 100
Technology Pioneers for the year 2001.
He joins an elite group of high technology individuals who are
pioneering the cause of technological development in the entire world
today.
Mr Deshpande will join the special tech pioneers programmes to
take place on the occasion of the WEF's annual meeting in Davos
in January.
"Being selected as one of the Forum's 100 technology pioneers is
great news which has come as a surprise, more than the recognition,
the opportunity to network with other fellow tech pioneers is what
I am looking forward to," Mr Deshpande said. -- Our Bureau
