Encore chief in top 100 technocrats league
BANGALORE: Bangalore-based technology company. Encore Software, has
announced that Vinay Deshpande has been selected by the World Economic
Forum as one in the top 100 technology pioneers for the year 2001.
Stepping into this league, he joins an elite group of high-technology
individuals who are pioneering the cause of technological development
in the world today.
The tech pioneers programme of the World Economic Forum is a new
initiative. The first group met in January during a special programme
at the Annual Meeting 2000 in Davos. Technology partners are engaged
in the most innovative technology areas that drive the new economy.
Deshpande will join the special tech pioneers programme to take
place on the occasion of the World Economic Forum's annual meeting
in Davos during January 2001. "Being selected as one the forum's 100
technology pioneers is a great news which has come as a surprise,
more than the recognition, the opportunity to network with other
fellow tech pioneers is what I am looking forward to," Deshpande
said.
