V.34 fax, commonly referred too as the Super G3 fax, is the standard for facsimile data communication over PSTN and digital communication networks, up to bit rates of 33600bps.

Encore’s V34 fax software, is designed to provide ITU-T T.30 functionality, which is in accordance with the procedures for fax transmission using the half-duplex modulation system defined in ITU-T V.34 recommendations. That is, the V.34 fax software consists of the T.30 protocol layer and the half duplex compatible V.34 fax data pump (fax modem).

The features of the V.34 fax software implementation are:

• Adheres to all the mandatory features of ITU-T V.34 half duplex specifications and ITU-T T.30.
• Data rates in range of 2400 bps to 33600bps in steps of 2400bps are supported, for primary channel.
• Control channel rate of 1200bps is supported.
• Relocatable Code & Data Modules.
• Flexible Programming Interface ('C' Callable).
• Encore’s V.34 Fax software is available as fixed point C code and also as optimized assembly libraries on some of the DSP plaforms.
