The Encore’s Voice/Fax/Data (VFD) Discriminator implements the detection of associated tones and classifying the voice, fax or data calls on the line. The VFD module includes the detection of Calling Tone (CNG), ANS/ANSam, and ITU-T V.8 specific CI/CM signal.
